Jeuji is a researcher, writer, and organizer. She embraces permaculture ethics and principles for designing environments and is currently working with several other women to launch a Worcester Women's Permaculture Guild. Jeuji serves on the Board of Worcester Roots Project and Stone Soup Collective and Community Center;  and, as the Worcester SAGE representative to the Board of the U.S. Solidarity Economy Network, she serves as Board Treasurer and on the organizing committee for the U.S. Social Solidarity Forum.

For the last 9 years I have been running my own software company. Our mission is to provide sustainable software to businesses in many sectors of the economy. Our software is designed to change with the technology. This allows organizations to create a business model that can adapt to challenges that arise without the need to reprogram. For the past 27 years my wife Kim and I have lived in Chesterfield, MA. I am currently the Chairperson for the Energy/Green Community Committee. I hold a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

I was born on the island of Nevis and came to the US to attend school. I studied electronics/electricity. I have worked 34 years in the electronics manufacturing industry. My hobbies are ham radio communications, alternative energy, gardening, and music. I am married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

Christian Lagier has a background in entrepreneurship, business operations, and strategic business development in the United States and Europe. He has particularly valuable experience related to the energy sector and renewable energy and is passionate about the values and benefits of local and cooperative ownership structures. He currently works for Baystate Health, as founder and Managing Director of a their new Technology Innovation Center in Springfield, MA. He has experience related to the energy sector and renewable energy and is passionate about the values and benefits of local and cooperative ownership structures. 

In his past, Christian worked for Smith College Science Center and Northern Power Systems, the oldest renewable energy company in the country. He opened their San Francisco office, established operational infrastructure and pursued strategic goals for Northern Power Systems, primarily related to development of solar, wind, cogeneration, and hydrogen projects.  He has held management jobs in technology and management consulting. Christian Lagier has been a Co-op Power member and avid supporter since 2005 when he, as co-director, helped get both Co-op Power and Northeast Biodiesel off the ground. Christian is Danish and French national, grew up in Denmark, and speaks multiple languages. He holds a Masters Degree in Economics and Business Administration and lives in Williamsburg, Mass.

Beth Paulson (2012-present)

Beth Paulson is both a building analyst and an ecological landscape designer who has worked with clients, workshop attendees, students and co-workers to conceptualize, analyze, design, craft, and commission hundreds of buildings and landscapes throughout metro Boston, the Pioneer Valley and the Berkshires. She teaches Sustainable Landscape Design for the Boston Architectural College, Residential Energy Efficiency and Energy Auditing for Greenfield Community College, and her family is in the process of a deep-energy-meets-deep-ecology retrofit of their home in Greenfield. She is an advocate for transformational change and responsibility, both as a self-defense instructor and as a cast member of the Survival Theatre Project.

Mark Tajima (2010-present) Board Chair

Mark Tajima brings a strong background in finance, strategic planning, education, and energy efficiency. He helped create the business plan that secured a $540,000 grant to launch Energia and now works there as the Chief of Operations. Mark currently is Chair of the board of Co-op Power and is a member of the board of Northeast Biodiesel. Mark has 20 years of experience in banking, and 10 years of experience in energy efficiency work. Mark has been involved with Co-op Power since 2009.

I've been teaching for more than 25 years, and have been active in justice and equity issues for my entire career. I'm a school representative to our school district's Diversity/Equity Committee, and am on the board of a local nonprofit organization, Educational Praxis. I'm active in my school's Farm to School work, and am a firm believer in Co-op Power's commitment to the principles of justice, equity, and sustainability.

Sally Wright is a Senior Turbine Engineer in the DNV GL Turbine Technology Group. She brings 14 years of experience in wind power and over 20 years’ broad experience in design and project management in the fields of renewable energy, energy conservation, and power system controls.

With a Masters degree in teaching and 12 years working in free schools and alternative education followed by 18 years as an independent contractor in the valley I have a breadth of knowledge of the valley community. These experiences were followed by 7 years as a capital projects manager at Crotched Mt. Rehabilitation Center. I gained wonderful experience in institutional scale building and community planning. I have deep education in energy efficient (aka green building) construction and 2 BPI certifications. I am now constructing a net zero achievable single family residence for my partner and myself in Montague.
